Iconic American brand Stetson asked TANQ to build their presence at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin Texas. With a focus on new bands and the music industry, TANQ’s executive producer Mary-Joy Lu put together two event partnerships showcasing the newly launched Stetson Bourbon, and the Stetson Urban hats line.
The Stetson Hats event was in partnership with &Publishing, a new company formed by Danny Rogers and Adam Tudhope, the managers of bands such as The Temper Trap, Gotye, and Mumford & Sons. Danny Rogers is also the creator of the popular international Laneways Festival. The line-up included Chvrches, Duologue, Flume, Half Moon Run and Mikhail Paskalev. TANQ was also on site at the venue documenting the event.
For Stetson Bourbon, TANQ teamed up with Billions Corporation for the exclusive ‘Daytime Lounge’. Billions are the booking agents for great artists like Arcade Fire and Vampire Weekend. The Daytime Lounge event was a music industry insider’s mixer for several hundred top artists, venue owners, labels, publicists, and promoters.
SXSW is an annual festival of music, film and interactive in Austin, Texas. In 2013 the festival attracted an audience of approximately 300,000 people.
