Alex Catchpoole

Alex is a visual effects veteran with 15 years of experience on Flame as an artist, vfx supervisor, vfx director and designer.
Alex possesses that rare mix of technical expertise and imaginative artistic flair that distinguishes truly world-class talent. With a reputation for consistently achieving the impossible, Alex is currently considered one of New York's top Flame artists, with six years of experience there, on top of nine years in Sydney Australia, working exclusively in commercials.
Alex began his Flame career in London at the age of 22, with Flame Version1.0. He moved back to his native Australia in 1994 to open the visual effects department at Digital Pictures in Sydney.
In 2002, Catchpoole relocated to New York to take up a senior position at Guava a visual effects company in Manhattan.
TANQ was formed in 2007 by Alex and his wife Mary-Joy Lu. They live in Brooklyn New York with their two boys, Charlie and James.
